"Well, well, well Sonic! We meet again at last in hedgehog to mecha combat. Now, my Death Egg and mecha are even stronger, but that's not the best part of all Sonic! The point is, I'm going to obliterate you in this magnificent Deviation showing me in all of glory and devilish prime!!!!! I also look pretty handsome, right?" Well, as Robotnik just said to Sonic before their confrontation began, this picture portraying him is actually extremely good. Not only does this show him from a good angle, it also looks as if it was actually painted by hand but the main point of interested is the large, momentous amounts of detail and precision clearly placed into this deviation to make it look as dastardly and cunning as it does now! Robotnik now looks less like a video game character and more like a real life human being, even if a few of his parts are still over exaggerated. The light around him makes him look as if he is trying to defeat Sonic with all of his glory but the tiny dark shadows leaping around the corners of his face act a contrast to the previous statement, giving off an evil, sinister and deceptive feel. The whiskers of his moustache are all separated nicely to give it a realistic effect too and the light gleaming on his dirty, crimson outfit creates more brilliant contrast. He looks even more disgusting by the fact that his lips are wrinkled and dry and his grimy teeth also give off a terrifying effect (You know, for all of the cool gadgets and machinery he has, can't Robotnik even use a simple toothbrush!) The one clean item (His glasses/goggles) might just be the most sinister feature about him however as they stand out from the rest of the picture and are also symbolic in away for showing his hatred towards Sonic who just so happens to be reflected in his glasses, creating this effect. A very brilliant picture with an effective use of contrast! Well done Josh Summana. "Darn it, my death egg has blown up again and now I'm falling out into space again too, only this time I can't get the blood out of my goggles! Where's Scratch and Grounder when you-Oh wait, kicked them out after that awful show! Oh well, at least I'll look good falling through space in another Deviation-wait, there isn't one of me....NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
Oh wow, I love this picture. Where do I start? The detail in this is amazing. You can see every hair in his moustache, and the texture in his skin, and in his clothing... And even those nasty teeth of his. I especially love the reflection of Sonic in his glasses, it definitely adds to the whole impact of the picture. That and the aura of light behind his head give him the impression of being in the heat of the moment and ready to attack and generally be evil. It makes me think of that moment when he reveals his last trick and pulls out a button that will surely turn the tide on his battle, or not, if Sonic can stop him in time. The technique you used to make this is stunning. I'm not sure how you did it, but it is freaking amazing. The detail it shows... The only thing that I can't give you five stars on is the originality, because he is a character from a game, but I give you 3 1/2 stars on it because of how you chose to portray him, since he isn't done in this style in any of the games or shows. Overall, spectacular job! I for one, am incredibly impressed, and I'm going to go and watch you now, and give you a llama.
